[You know that rise on the edge of town near Ammy's tree? There's a very visible red splotch at the top of it, though it's partially obscured with a brown cloak. It then crouches down and fiddles with something near the ground.

A moment later it should be obvious what is up, as the splotch that is Lloyd Irving begins speeding down the hill - riding a wooden makeshift sled. It's just a board shaped a bit with some rope attached, but it does for its purpose. Later he will probably build something more sophisticated, but for now, he just wants to get his mind on something other than his missing friends.

He'll be hanging out at the hill for a while, so feel free to watch/join in/crash into him.]

They like to give us tough choices, huh?

I'm not taking it. I've said too much about getting everyone out of here intact to give up on that now. There's people who can't leave, and I want to protect them. I won't let them be left as a sacrifice.

Not that I'm blaming anybody who wants to go or anything! That's just how I feel for myself. So you know, if you're going to stay, there'll still be Blue Rogues here to keep fighting.

[Over by the entrance to the tunnels, there is a slowly forming stack of supplies under a tarp: wood that's been cut and shaped, and a couple of mattresses. With the recent murders, it's become apparent that some kind of holding place is needed. The idea of using the tunnels has been tossed around before and Lloyd's finally putting the idea to work.

Feel free to stop by and bother him as he starts moving things inside.]

There's been a lot of heavy stuff on here lately, what with talking about governments and when killing is okay and then someone really getting killed. It's made me think. Back home, my friends and I worked to save our world. At first it seemed pretty simple - we had to beat the Desians by getting Colette to the Tower of Salvation. But it turned out things were a lot more complicated than that, and everything we did seemed to end up causing ten more problems.

I think that's where we are right now. It's pretty easy to say that there's nothing you can do when all you're getting is questions instead of answers. It's been two years and we've barely made any progress. But maybe the problem is that we aren't looking at everything the right way. I know from talking to my friends that a lot of people here were like me, trying to fix big problems by themselves. We've been going at Luceti like we did back home, like each of us is the only one who can get us all out of here. That's not really how it is though, is it? Back home, we had to help because we were the only ones still looking for a better solution, but everyone here wants to beat the Malnosso.

I'm not giving up what I've been doing, but I also think it's time we actually got together instead of splitting up. There's no reason to have Blue Rogues against Brave Vesperia against whatever other groups out there. We're just the people of Luceti. If we can't get along in here, there's no way we can fix the bigger problem.

So, what about you guys? What were you doing to help your worlds? Do you think that's affecting how you live here in Luceti?

Attention, Blue Rogues and everybody in the village! Genis is missing and it looks like someone here kidnapped him. All we have to go by is this note so if you recognize the handwriting or saw anything suspicious this morning, let me know here.

I need all the Rogues and anybody else who can help to start a search party. Genis is 15, short, has blue eyes and silver hair to his shoulders. He usually wears blue. We'll meet up in the square and divide into groups from there. It's possible this guy is dangerous, since Genis would put up a fight.

["Kratos" is sitting outside in a field on a small rise near the edge of town. He's staring off at the buildings and doesn't seem particularly attentive, but what might catch the eye is the bright blue mana wings that are continually appearing and disappearing from his back. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out.

....This repeats for a long while before he finally sighs, leaving the wings out to flap idly.]

This is really getting boring.

If anyone needs weapons repaired or replaced, I'll be at the smithy today, so just stop by.

[There's a smudge, as though he started to write something else, then erased it completely.]

[True to his word, Lloyd can be found in the back of the blacksmith's shop. He's hammering away at a piece of metal, but his mind isn't on the task. It's been nearly a week since Zelos died... It's about time for him to return, right? He is coming back.

Lloyd brings the hammer down again, only to find the metal has become too thin to be of any use at all.]

Dammit...

If any fighters still needs weapons, the blacksmith shop has plenty of swords, a couple bows and other things. I'm not going to be there but the door's unlocked.

This is our chance, everyone. Let's show them what we can do.

[So Lloyd is wandering home slowly along the path, carrying a bag of groceries under one arm and his journal under another, and whistling a tune. Life's not so bad, his friends are back from their kidnappings and the Professor's getting better, too. He is completely oblivious to the event he is now affected by.

Feel free to come up and chat/order him around (if you can figure that out)/throw tomatoes. Except no tomatoes.]

[Lloyd's voice is a little more serious than usual.]

Blue Rogues:

I'm sure you've probably all seen Vyse's message by now. If not, he's been taken by the Malnosso. That means as first mate I'm in charge of the crew for now, so if anything happens you'll report to me.

[pause, pencil tap] I should know all of you already, but if you're a new recruit and we haven't met yet, just let me know here. My name's Lloyd Irving.

And uh... That's about it. Let's take care of things until the Captain gets back.

Hey, Colette and Genis! Grab your swimsuits; we're going to the lake today.

Everybody else is welcome to come along too, of course.

[It's still raining. Lloyd is bored of rain. The thunder and lightning make it impossible to get to the smithy, not that he'd be able to do much there anyway with rain coming down the chimney. Thus, he has to find other ways to entertain himself. Anyone opening their journal will find this staring at them.]

I never want to see a tomato again. ...Not that I did before, but yeah.

Is it over? I'm not going to pop back to being a vegetable again, right?

[There's a journal lying open in the middle of the road. On top of it likes a single tomato.

A single tomato who is actually a very confused Lloyd Irving.]

...Uh, what just happened? [it wiggles a little] Guys? Can you hear me? I might need a little help here...

Colette's back. Hopefully she'll st She doesn't remember, so you'll have to introduce yourselves again. She's a bit older than last time, too...

I realized I never officially mentioned it, so... Lloyd and Edward's Awesome Smithy has a new location. We're in the weapons shop in the square now, so if you're looking for whatever the Malnosso took from you or need something new, come check us out!

...And uh, by the way... has anyone seen Colette lately?

Dad's getting better, which is great! Hopefully he can come home soon. The house is kind of weird and empty right now.

The kidnapped people are all starting to come back, too. Of course, this is about the time for another experiment... I hope it's not something big this time.

Oh hey, Edward! Before I forget again, I've been meaning to ask you something.

[It's been raining off and on a lot lately, creating many large puddles around the village. One particularly large string of puddles is on the road between the clinic and the Aurion house.

Lloyd intends to head straight home, really, but something about that puddle catches his eye. It beckons him. He tries to resist, but in the end, who can? The mud and water combined in such proportions is a temptation no man can look away from.

...After looking furtively up and down the road, Lloyd pulls off his boots and jumps in.]

So hey, guys... I know things are still a little crazy now, but I wanted to throw an idea out there. I'm sure a lot of you've noticed that Emil's been kind of down lately. Not much is getting through to him, so I thought the best way to cheer him up would be to go to his house and have a surprise party.

What do you think? We should probably wait until after this experiment's done to have it, but it's better to plan now, right? Everybody who's friends with him is invited.
